Plactic smiles will get us nowhere in the Kingdom of God. We have to be real if we have hope that the Gospel can be of any good to us.
…and sometimes it feels like maybe…..maybe…just maybe, even I can become plastic. I need to remember the difference between what makes me real ..not plastic.
I can’t…
…pretend I am perfect. (Lord, its hard to be humble, when you are perfect in every way. Can’t wait to look in the….) Wait – I seem to have gotten distracted.
…hold on to useless tradition for tradition sake. ( What are those people doing in my seat – you can’t do it that way, we have always done it this way…)
…sit around waiting to be blessed without being a blessing.
Funny Note: I can’t make any comments about committees since I am not part of any Church that has them – but did you know that a group of buzzards hanging around to feast on their meal of dead flesh is called a committee?
,,,complain about Church but don’t do anything about it.
…seem more “christian” than I am.
…think myself more important than others. ( actually I catch myself doing this all the time.)
….stop looking for all those things that start to make me plastic.
Steve
